Lisa Cook

Founder and Cincinnati Coordinator

Lisa Cook has been involved in Jewish outreach, education, and community building for nearly two decades. Together with her husband, Rabbi Seth Cook, she served for seven years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they led Jewish educational and outreach initiatives and built meaningful relationships throughout the community. Prior to that, Lisa helped run the Aish HaTorah branch at Indiana University in Bloomington, working with students to deepen their connection to Jewish life and learning.

In 2021, Lisa and Seth moved to Cincinnati to co-found Cincinnati Jewish Experience (CJX), where they continue to develop innovative programs that inspire connection, growth, and engagement across the Jewish community.

A passionate builder at heart, many of Lisa's projects over the past twenty years have focused on creating opportunities for people to connect—with Judaism, with one another, and with themselves. She is especially excited about The Chai Conversation Project, which she developed as her first-year project in the Core MMC program. The initiative reflects her belief that meaningful conversations have the power to strengthen relationships, build community, and foster deeper understanding.
